Our mission is to serve farmers and property owners and to give them the peace of mind knowing that their investment is being protected by applicators who take pride in doing their absolute best.
Who are we?
Zahm’s Aerial Enterprises L.L.C. was founded in the fall of 2022 by lifelong Michigan farmer and pilot, Liam Zahm. After frustrations with the lack of active aerial applicators in the greater West Michigan area, he decided to use his expertise from working in the aerial application industry to fill that need. We are also one of only a handful of fully certified and FAA Compliant drone operators in the state.
Our Fleet:
1977 Gumman G-164B AgCat
The airplane that started it all for ZAE. The AgCat is boasts a 330 gallon hopper and is powered by a monstrous 22L radial engine and produces 600hp. This purpose built aircraft is an absolute workhorse and is still able to hold its own in the world of 500 gallon turbine powered crop dusters.
Our Mission.
Our core belief which guides us through day to day life and all of our business decisions is the Golden Rule. Do onto others as you would have them do onto you. Every acre we treat, we treat as if they were our own. We do not sacrifice the quality of application in exchange for “productivity”. Many other drone operators run their equipment at the advertised 32ft swath width, but we run our drone at a 20-25ft swath width because after rigorous pattern testing, that is the maximum swath width that they are physically capable of, despite the manufacturer’s claims. We would never intentionally streak our own fields, so why would we streak our customer’s fields? We happily sacrifice “productivity” in order to do a good job and do right by the customers who put their trust into us.
2024 DJI Agras T40
The newest addition to the ZAE fleet, the DJI Agras T40 is one of the most effective spray drones on the market. Although it only has a 10 gallon hopper, it can cover a reasonable amount of ground when operated efficiently. Being relatively small and easy to transport, it is the ideal choice for difficult fields and specialty crops that would otherwise be impractical for an airplane. The drone also boasts the unique capability of being able to operate at night.
